Today the National Film and Sound Archive of Australia is excited to launch the Buwindja Collection - a rich and diverse range of 17 titles celebrating Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander trailblazers, icons and dreamers. To celebrate the upcoming NAIDOC Week, the Buwindja (Remember) collection showcases feature films, documentaries, TV series, performance, animation and more. Produced by and starring Chips Rafferty, 'King of the Coral Sea' (1954) is a romantic action-packed adventure co-stars beloved actor Charles ‘Bud’ Tingwell and marks the film debut of future Hollywood star Rod Taylor.
