March 7th is Alexander Graham Bell Day! On this day in 1876, Alexander Graham Bell patented the telephone. Three days later he conducted a successful experiment of his invention when he made the first phone call. For today, Howard letterpress printed an image depicting a ca. 1905 telephone from a very small sort. This style of telephone was commonly referred to as a “candlestick.” This is probably one of the smallest prints we have recorded for a video. This was printed with red oil base ink usi
