Since the 2021 military coup in Burma, lives have been upended. According to the UN, over 1.2 million people have been displaced from their homes and over 70,000 have fled abroad. All continue to resist a return to dictatorship - two years after the coup - despite setbacks like having to seek safety at the border or asylum and refuge temporarily in a neighbouring country.
