DNR's Mobile Freshwater Mussel Propagation Trailer has returned to the Deer Creek picnic area of Susquehanna State Park! Visit the trailer and see freshwater mussel conservation in action Monday through Friday, 9 am to 2 pm, until May 2. Biologists will utilize various aquaculture systems inside the trailer to propagate and culture freshwater mussels for restoration projects in the Susquehanna River. Nearly 46,000 juvenile mussel transformations were procured in the trailer in the fall of 2024,
