He has a sway at the beginning of his stride where he moves backward to a specific spot and then tries to shoot his pelvis forward into contact. It looks to me like he’s trying to work to a balance point, view the pitch, and then make his forward move. In theory, this should work. In practice, this almost never works. In this video, he moves forward too late
