Apollo 14: Mission to Fra Mauro

Apollo 14 was the third crewed mission to land on the Moon, successfully landing in the Fra Mauro region in February 1971. The mission's objectives included scientific exploration of the lunar highlands, collecting rock and soil samples, and deploying scientific experiments. During the mission, astronauts Alan Shepard and Edgar Mitchell conducted two moonwalks (EVAs), deployed the Apollo Lunar Experiment Package (ALSEP), and collected 93.2 pounds (42 kg) of lunar material. | We Are Not Alone
