If your battery pack voltage is too low, your PowerWise charger will not turn on. With the charger plugged into AC outlet, plug the charge plug into the cart.

2018 lithium RXV interlock/reed switch and on-board charger
Nov 13, 2024 · From my reading, it seems to be a reed switch or interlock that prevents me from leaving the charger connected under the seat. I've had people tell me to cut the blue wire and connect it to battery positive. I've also been told that doing that on a lithium pack will confuse the cart and it won't recognize it's plugged in to charge.

It hums when plugged into cart, so that means the charger is sensing the battery pack, which in turn means that the fuse in the white wire going to the battery pack from the charge receptacle isn't blown. So there might be a blown fuse in the output of the charger, or blown diodes.

Sep 20, 2019 · The max voltage a 12V charger will put out is up to about 15V, but the voltage it actually puts out while connected to a battery is determined by the battery's on-charge voltage at the time. The on-charge voltage rises as more and more AH are pumped into battery and 10.8V (2.70VPC) is about the max on-charge voltage for an 8V battery.

Aug 20, 2022 · Yes, that’s all you need. It should connect to the same points as your existing charger as the booster is essentially a charger. Get a booster with adjustable voltage and current. Set the voltage to about 58v and the current to under 1A. Remember, when allowing for losses, 1A at 58v will be about a 6A draw from the 12v battery.
