I preferred Amiens to Paris when I went to France. My memory of Paris is migrants standing on street selling cartons of marlboro and it being dirty and everything is overpriced. Amiens was a lot nicer in my opinion but my favourite place I visited was a small town Chambly, it was so picturesque and I loved it
