Jan 28, 2019 · To reduce weight, without taking out interior parts is a chore. Easiest, and most effective way to reduce weight is with lighter wheels. Expensive, but perhaps the easiest. Big problem is that if you are loosing weight to increase performance, light weight wheels that are also stronger than stock are an expensive solution.

Feb 6, 2021 · That's super impressive. While everyone else just keeps getting heavier, Tesla is getting lighter. I still can't believe how light everything from the interior of the Model 3 is, it's really impressive. Once they start mega-casting the frame and switch to the 4680 cells I would expect the weight of the Model 3 to drop several hundred pounds.
