May 21, 2014 · Elixa probiotic corrected my IBS and skin problems and FOS does not add to that (it's pretty much maxed out) but what it does do is it provides a couple other advantages: Deep, deep sleep and very clean bowel movements. All in all I think you need to (1) correct the imbalance completely and thoroughly (a few rounds of Elixa probiotic).
How long to stick with Align if it causes diarrhea?
Mar 30, 2015 · I hope that my gut can recover from it. Although I have IBS-D, the diarrhea wasn't that frequent before. And my gastroenterologist said that it is okay to take Imodium to stop diarrhea even while taking Align. Imodium is safe and I can take it when I need it without worries.

Aug 5, 2007 · Florastor says it's the only tested version of s.b. Apparently since it is not a bacteria but a yeast you could actually take s.b. with another bacterial probiotic. If the sky were the limit or I was suffering as badly as some others unfortunately do I would probably go for VSL #3 and take Florastor too, as well as some prebiotics and fiber.

Feb 1, 2015 · The short version: The reasoning behind the probiotic made sense: It has HALF A TRILLION Cfus per dose. That's 500 Billion!! About 10-50 times as much as most probiotic pills. I think that is the crucial thing. Regardless of what other advantages it may claim I would bet a lot that it is the large dose format!

After Elixa, I'm hoping to discontinue my probiotic products that keep me regular except for the occasional reuse of Elixa. I will report if IBS symptoms such as constipation and bloating resurface after I stop the daily probiotics.

Jul 2, 2012 · Plus a lot of ibs treatments have low success rates because each persons ibs is being caused by different things, so there will never be a product that will cure everyone. As the medical community are unable to cure us, we have to do our own research and experimentation. And it's important we share our results.
