Jan 13, 2024 · You can then take the ferry to Amalfi and stay there for your two nights, and from Amalfi visit Ravello, Positano, Vietri, etc. Amalfi is the transportation hub for the southern coast. The bus from Amalfi to Ravello takes 25 minutes or so.

Oct 17, 2019 · We then moved to Amalfi- 2 nights- visited Positano from there and also really enjoyed Amalfi. Didn't care much for Positano- spent just a few hours, easy to get to bus/ferry from Amalfi. The views of those towns are better from the water than from the actual town. As a last minute change we added 1 night in Ravello- fabulous views there!

Feb 2, 2024 · Sorrento isn't exactly the Amalfi Coast, but it is on the same peninsula. Sorrento is the cheaper place to stay and with better transportation options (trains, day trips to Pompeii and Capri). It is fairly easy to do day trips over from Sorrento. I don't see the need to stay there.
