Devers’ arrival came two days after San Francisco acquired the three-time All-Star in a blockbuster deal with the Red Sox, who received left-hander Kyle Harrison, right-hander Jordan Hicks, 2024 first-round Draft pick James Tibbs III and pitching prospect Jose Bello in return.

With all the drama Rafael Devers on the Red Sox, it seems he has left that in Boston and is willing to play wherever in San Francisco.

Devers, as became custom during his 1,053 games as a member of the Red Sox, hit a couple of rockets in his San Francisco debut against the Guardians. In all, it was a 2-for-5 night with an RBI double and two strikeouts as San Francisco lost, 3-2.
