Jamal Murray had 21 points and nine assists, Russell Westbrook added 19 points and eight assists and the Denver Nuggets beat the Los Angeles Clippers 126-103 on Wednesday night in a matchup of short-handed teams.

Norman Powell scores 30 points, but the Kawhi-less Clippers can’t keep up with Jamal Murray (21), Westbrook (19) and a Denver team playing without Nikola Jokic, 126-103.

Clippers forward Kawhi Leonard was not available after he flew back to Los Angeles before the game to help his family deal with the wildfires. Nuggets center Nikola Jokic was out for the second straight game due to an illness.

The Nuggets have experience beating the Los Angeles Clippers without Nikola Jokic. They pulled it off in Los Angeles last season, led by Reggie Jackson’s stirring 35-point, 13-assist performance. Jamal Murray and Aaron Gordon were also absent from that game,
