LAKE CITY, Fla. – A 31-year-old man was fatally shot Tuesday night when he broke into a home on SW Leslie Glen in Lake City, police said. According to the Lake City Police Department, an adult in the home had an active protection order against Langston Sykes.

Lake City police arrived at the home after 11 p.m. Tuesday and found the 31-year-old man shot and unresponsive.
