Lainey Landry, a 9-year-old girl, is one of 27 girls who was “tragically lost” in the devastating floods at Camp Mystic, according to the St. George Catholic Church.

At least 27 campers and counselors from Camp Mystic in Texas have died in devastating flash flooding that swept through the region, the camp announced. At least 109 people have died in the flooding that struck Texas Hill Country on Friday.

Inside the sanctuary, sorrow was thick in the air as the community came together to honor the campers of Camp Mystic, which is a cherished girls’ summer camp along the Guadalupe River. Many campers tragically lost their lives, while others remain missing.
