The National Weather Service confirmed an EF-1 tornado impacted some northeastern parts of Hart County Thursday.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- An EF1 tornado with 95 mph winds touched down early Thursday morning near the LaRue/Hart county line, the National Weather Service said. The NWS said its survey team will visit the area in northern Hart County on Thursday and encouraged anyone impacted by the storm to share damage reports.

The National Weather Service in Louisville confirmed an EF-1 tornado impacted northern Hart County just south of the LaRue County line. Surveyors were in the area Thursday. According to the NWS survey team, the tornado was on the ground for roughly for half a mile, with winds sustained up to 95 miles per hour.
