Accidental fire breaks out at Cleveland Metroparks Zoo Rainforest
The former Rainforest exhibit, which has been under construction since last October, caught on fire. Cleveland Fire shared in a tweet on Wednesday that the fire was accidental.

The RainForest is currently closed for construction and is expected to reopen in 2026, housing gorillas and orangutans. The Cleveland Firefighter’s Union confirmed they are on scene.
