Rwanda President Paul Kagame has hit back at the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) over calls for European giants Arsenal, Bayern Munich, and Paris St-Germain to end their “blood-stained” sponsorship deals with Visit Rwanda.

Arsenal have been accused by the government of the Democratic Republic of Congo of a “bloodstained sponsorship deal” over their shirt-sleeve agreement with Rwanda, in light of the recent invasion of Congolese territory.

The Democratic Republic of Congo has asked European football heavyweights Arsenal, Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain to end the “blood-stained” football development and tourism promotion partnership with Rwanda.

Rwanda allegedly funded European clubs and a potential full-scale war by trafficking Congo’s essential minerals.
