HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - The Hastings City Council voted to approve the appointment for the city’s new fire chief on Monday, 8-0. The council voted Troy Vorderstrasse as the new fire chief.
The Hastings City Council voted 8-0 to during their regular meeting to approve the appointment for the city’s new fire chief on Monday.
Vorderstrasse has been leading Hastings Fire & Rescue since summer 2024 when former Fire Chief Brad Starling was placed on paid administrative leave. In September 2024, Starling resigned his position.
