Much of North Texas, including the Dallas-Fort Worth region, was under a severe thunderstorm watch Thursday morning. Some parts of North Texas, including the Jacksboro area, were under a severe thunderstorm warning as storms moved through the area.

A severe thunderstorm watch is in effect until 8 a.m. Thursday for all of North Texas, including the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. There's a slight risk for severe storms across North Texas, with the chance of large hail and gusty winds,

The Dallas Mavericks will host the Atlanta Hawks on Wednesday night. The Mavericks will play in their 77th game for the season, while the Hawks will play in their 76th game. Both of these teams are in the play-in position and will seek the best seeding possible as the season ends.
