The band, in India for the Asia leg of their highly anticipated Music of Spheres world tour, performed at Mumbai’s DY Patil Stadium, attended by around 75,000 people. This was Coldplay’s first performance in India after the 2016 show at the Global Citizen Festival in Mumbai.
Johnson, 35, visited Mumbai with Martin, 47, ahead of his three Music of the Spheres World Tour shows with Coldplay. The rock band has three sold-out concerts between Saturday and Tuesday at DY Patil Stadium, one of the country’s multi-purpose sports arenas.
Sharing the picture, they wrote, “From the bottom of our hearts, thank you Mumbai. It was a dream come true to play three concerts in your beautiful city. We will never forget how you made us feel. We’ll be back! " and also included green, white and orange heart emojis, seemingly representing the Tiranga, and a few sparkle emojis.
