Former Presidents George W. Bush, Bill Clinton, and Barack Obama won’t take part in President-elect Donald Trump‘s inaugural luncheon on Monday. A Bush spokesperson confirmed the former president would attend the inauguration earlier on Monday but dismissed the significance of attending the luncheon.

During Trump's 2017 luncheon, he called for a standing ovation for Hillary Clinton and forecast four years of “peace and prosperity” under his administration.

As Trump gets ready for his inauguration as the 47th President of the US on January 20, his inaugural luncheon aims to combine history, custom, and cuisine.

Obama received an invitation to the luncheon but declined to attend the event. Meanwhile, sources also confirmed Clinton was invited as well but he does not plan to attend
