FDA Expands Cinnamon Recall After Lead Found—Check Your Pantry Now
With holiday baking season on the horizon, now's the time to check your spice rack. An ongoing cinnamon recall by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has been updated to include an additional brand that was found to contain elevated levels of lead.
Abdallah Incorporated issued a voluntary recall for two chocolate products on August 25 due to potential undeclared peanuts and pecans.
The FDA issued a correction related to a recall of Boston Scientific (NYSE:BSX) defibrillation leads, labeling it the most serious kind.
Among the added products flagged in the FDA’s testing were aluminum Kadai/Karahi cookware sold under the Tiger White brand labeled as "Pure Aluminum Utensils," as well as brass and aluminum milk pans sold under the Silver Horse brand name.
