Amazon's MX Player unveils slate of 100 new shows, including 40 Hindi-language originals, as it expands free ad-supported streaming market in India.

Amazon MX Player announced over 100 new shows for 2025 at its first StreamNext event, featuring Bollywood stars like Bobby Deol and Suniel Shetty. The platform unveiled 40 Hindi originals and new series such as 'Bhay' and 'The Titan Story',

MX Player, which claims to have 250 million users and was acquired by Amazon in October last year, also unveiled a second season of cricket drama Sixer from Indian produer The Viral Fever, as well as a new platform housing so-called micro-dramas.

StreamNext event featured global marketing leaders like Sir Martin Sorrell, Benedict Evans and prominent entertainment industry personalities. The event showcased the evolving landscape of content consumption in India.
