Anti iran war protest fills DC streets, elevated security posture in nation’s capital
Hundreds of people took to the streets across the D.C. region this weekend, some thanking President Donald Trump for the strikes in Iran and others protesting the escalating military campaign as U.S.
Iranians opposed to the current regime have waited since the 1979 Islamic Revolution that overthrew the Shah of Iran for the attack that’s another step to restoring the Shah’s family to power. But not everyone celebrated the news.
The protest near the White House was among the demonstrations that erupted across the country after Israel and the United States launched strikes on Iran.
The demonstration at the Lincoln Memorial was the latest in a string of school walkouts across the country, which have resulted in arrests and condemnation from some officials, and plaudits from others.
