Several states issued snow-related emergencies after an Arctic blast swept through parts of the central and eastern United States.

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — A winter weather alert has been issued for New York City in the wake of a freezing storm entering our area tomorrow morning.

Snow will end for some parts of New Jersey as early as Monday afternoon and evening, but snow showers could linger past midnight for parts of South Jersey expecting the highest snowfall totals. National Weather Service Snow has overspread all of New Jersey as of late Monday morning and snow showers are expected to continue into the evening for most of the state.
