Micah Parsons is coming to the table with more firepower now that Las Vegas Raiders' edge rusher Maxx Crosby and Myles Garrett of the Cleveland Browns are shattering contract records.

The Dallas Cowboys have taken their time in their negotiations with star edge rusher and do-it-all defender Micah Parsons, spending the last four days and count

An NFL insider reported that the team may have to end up trading superstar linebacker Micah Parsons this offseason.

And now Cowboys COO Stephen Jones has outlined the team's goal for the timing of a new Parsons deal. "It's always a goal" to avoid a holdout from Parsons, Jones said, per Calvin Watkins of The Dallas Morning News. "It was (a goal) to do CeeDee early It's always a goal to get it done when you can get it."

Like the Cleveland Browns with Myles Garrett, the Dallas Cowboys have never envisioned a scenario where they trade Micah Parsons.
