Virginia flags will fly at half-staff tomorrow (Saturday) in honor of Lt. Col. Brandon Shah, the ROTC instructor killed in a shooting at Old Dominion University on Thursday that the FBI is investigating as an act of terrorism.
Lt. Col. Brandon Shah was identified as the person killed in the shooting. He was an alumnus of the university and a decorated military veteran who served several tours in the Middle East. Shah enlisted in the Army in 2003 as an aviation operations specialist.
The F.B.I. said the shooting, which wounded two other people at the university, in Norfolk, Va., was being investigated as an act of terrorism.
Authorities identified Mohamed Bailor Jalloh as the gunman in Thursday's attack at Old Dominion University in Virginia.
