The cast of “Conclave” is praying for Pope Francis. The film’s stars Ralph Fiennes, Isabella Rossellini, John Lithgow and Sergio Castellitto sent well-wishes to the 88-year-old sovereign — who has been hospitalized for health issues — at the SAG Awards 2025 on Sunday.

There has long been a Vatican taboo against openly talking about a conclave when a pope is sick: It’s considered gauche to speculate about the election of a new pope while the current one is fighting for his life.

Rossellini appeared at the ceremony to introduce the papal drama alongside fellow stars Ralph Fiennes, John Lithgow, and Sergio Castellitto.

"We are very, very worried for our pope," Isabella Rossellini told reporters following their win in the SAG Awards virtual press room. "We love this pope --Papa Francesco, Pope Francis. We wish him well.
