The country music star took aim at Snoop Dogg after the rapper performed at an event celebrating Donald Trump's return to office.

The rapper Snoop Dogg has been taking criticism for performing at one of President Trump's pre-inauguration events over the weekend.

Despite publicly vowing to “roast” anyone who endorsed Trump during his previous administration, the rapper topped the bill at a Washington D.C. event honoring the president-elect.

Navarro likened the rapper's performance at an event supporting Trump to "applauding him like a trained seal."

The Missionary rapper wasn’t alone in receiving vitriol. Nelly, Rick Ross, and Soulja Boy also performed for Donald Trump over the weekend at his Crypto Ball (Jan. 17). This isn’t the first instance of rappers aligning themselves with the two-time President, and it likely won’t be the last.

On Sunday, the hip-hop star performed at the event hosted by former PayPal COO and incoming AI and crypto czar, David Sacks. Snoop Dogg's industry peers, Rick Ross, Soulja Boy, and Nelly, also appeared at the Trump celebration. But the hip-hop stars are now facing the music from their outraged fans online.

The Crypto Ball was hosted by David Sacks, who will be the new administration’s reigning expert on AI. It took place at the D.C.’s Andrew W. Mellon Auditorium. Ticket prices for the event went from $2,500 to $5,000 and the ball was billed as one to support the “first crypto president.”
