PHILADELPHIA, PA - The newest Devils acquistions made an impact on Sunday afternoon against the Flyers. Cody Glass picked up a goal and was +2. Daniel Sprong had a +1 rating with three shots on goal as New Jersey held on for a 3-1 win. Erik Haula and Dawson Mercer scored the other Devils goals.

Cody Glass scored in his New Jersey debut, and Erik Haula snapped a 29-game goal drought, as the visiting New Jersey Devils handed the reeling Philadelphia Flyers a fourth straight loss with Sunday's 3-1 victory.

Dawson Mercer hit the post at 4:29 of the second as he ripped a shot from the deep slot. New Jersey extended the lead to 2-0 at 5:39 as Erik Haula (5th) scored from the right circle. A Brenden Dillon point shot was blocked down before Johnathan Kovacevic passed to an oncoming Haula.

Though Sunday’s game between the New Jersey Devils and Philadelphia Flyers took place in the City of Brotherly Love, many visiting fans made the 90-120 minute drive up the Jersey Turnpike in hopes of making their presence known.
