The Wild lost 6-0 in Ottawa on Saturday and Hartman got a match penalty for attempting to injure Senators star Tim Stützle.

Hartman, who was assessed a match penalty for roughing Tim Stutzle right after a faceoff, will forfeit $487,804.90 in salary and won't be eligible to play until March 9. The suspension will last for more than a month because the Four Nations Face-Off break will put the league on hiatus for two weeks from Feb. 13 through Feb. 20.

Minnesota's Ryan Hartman has been offered an in-person hearing with the NHL Department of Player Safety after driving the head of Ottawa's Tim Stützle into the ice.
