The Boston Celtics got key contributions from the bench guys as they narrowly best the Los Angeles Clippers 117-113 in overtime.

The Celtics outlasted the severely shorthanded Clippers 117-113 in overtime, getting key contributions from a surprise source.

Given that schedule, the Celtics also chose a cautious approach with several of their veterans. Jrue Holiday (shoulder), Kristaps Porzingis (illness) and Al Horford (big toe) all were ruled out against the Clippers after being listed as questionable.

The Celtics had to sweat out an overtime win over the Clippers on Wednesday, but wouldn't have done it without Jaden Springer and his defensive intensity.

Harden is in danger of missing the first leg of the Clippers' back-to-back Wednesday while continuing to deal with right groin soreness. With Norman Powell (back) and Kris Dunn (knee) also questionable,

The Celtics were a bit short themselves on the front end of the back-to-back with Jrue Holiday and Al Horford out injured and Kristaps Porzingis sidelined by illness. All three could be available for Thursday’s matchup on national TV.
