The Orlando Magic are serious in building a competitive group around Paolo Banchero. On Sunday, the Magic traded away Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Cole Anthony, four unprotected first-round picks and one first-round pick swap to the Memphis Grizzlies.

Following a disappointing end in the postseason, the Magic agreed to send veteran guard Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Cole Anthony and four unprotected first-round picks (the 2025 No. 16 overall pick plus selections in 2026 via Phoenix Suns, 2028 and 2030) along with a 2029 first-round pick swap to the Memphis Grizzlies in exchange for Desmond Bane.

The Memphis Grizzlies and Orlando Magic kicked the trade season off on June 15 in a multi-player, multi-pick deal. Desmond Bane is headed to Orlando for Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Cole Anthony, four future first-round picks and a future first-round pick swap.
