Nelly Korda skipped the champions dinner before the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship in Frisco because of a sore neck that flared up after the world’s No. 1 player took a shot out of the rough during a practice round.

The former Texas Longhorn, who had a brief stint on the LPGA before turning to the teaching ranks, now works where she first learned the game.

A couple of weeks removed from the U.S. Women's Open, the LPGA contests its third major of the season at the home of the PGA of America.
