After refusing to play first amid a tension-filled season with Boston, the Red Sox traded Devers to the Giants on Sunday night. In his introductory press conference at Oracle Park Tuesday, the All-Star said he’s open to playing wherever his new team needs him.

Rafael Devers told reporters Tuesday he'll play any position for the San Francisco Giants after the team acquired him in a blockbuster trade with the Boston Red Sox (h/t Shayna Rubin of the San Francisco Chronicle).

The Giants, of course, obtained Devers as part of a five-player trade with the Boston Red Sox on Sunday night. That trade was seemingly precipitated by Devers' refusal to take up first base following Triston Casas ' season-ending injury.
