Track ongoing wildfires and smoke in Kansas as red flag warnings and fire danger continue for much of the state.

A volatile wildfire setup is in play today. Portions of the Fire Weather Warning in the west have been upgraded to a PDS Fire Weather Warning, or a "Particularly Dangerous Situation."

A volatile wildfire threat is unfolding across the southern Plains this week, with the largest blaze early in the 2026 wildfire season, the Ranger Road Fire, scorching huge swaths of land in western Oklahoma and southwestern Kansas.
