Tesla has partnered with Vestas, the world's biggest wind-turbine manufacturer, to figure out how to combine their batteries with Vestas' wind farms.

Tesla isn’t the only company to receive a call from the wind turbine manufacturer, which will work with other battery makers to determine how to best store wind power.

In addition to the Tesla partnership, Vestas is working with other battery manufacturers on 10 different projects. Vestas began experimenting with wind turbines and batteries in 2012.
