In February 2024, Musk posted to X that he aimed to ship the Roadster in 2025. One feature he teased was that the Roadster would be able to go from zero to 60mph in less than a second. He also stated that, "I think it has a shot at being the most mind-blowing product demo of all time."
It gets better; the OpenAI CEO may have prompted Elon Musk to make fresh promises about a new Roadster coming in 2025.
Tesla has not been shy about touting some impressive performance statistics for the new Roadster: zero to 60 mph in less than two seconds, a top speed of more than 250 mph, a range of 620 miles, and even a plan for rocket-style thrusters. When (or if) the Roadster makes it to production, will it achieve these lofty numbers?
