Jones seems to be playing his way into “untouchable” status entering the July 31 trade deadline, as long as the Yankees think at least some version of this hot streak is for real. If not, the 24-year-old outfielder is only raising his trade value by the day.

The 6-foot-7 Jones has been potent since his first promotion to Triple-A. In 19 games with Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, Jones has 13 home runs and is hitting .400. His trade availability is unclear. Some reports indicate it'd take a gigantic haul, while others suggest Jones very well could be moved for a more reasonable MLB option.

Making him untouchable in trade talks, frankly, seems to be an absurd position for the Yankees to take, assuming it is their position.
