The original rumor was posted by VideoCardz, which reported that Nvidia would finally announce the most budget-friendly members of the RTX 50 Series graphics cards, including the RTX 5060, 5060 Ti (8GB), and another RTX 5060 Ti with 16GB of VRAM.

While Nvidia has yet to announce its entry-level RTX 50-series GPUs, previous leaks indicate it's expected to arrive with 8GB of GDDR7 VRAM. This is the first sign that an RTX 5060 may come with a 12GB variant, similar to the RTX 5060 Ti believed to be coming in either with 16GB or 8GB of GDDR7 video memory.

Nvidia claims RTX 50-series GPUs are off to a better start than the previous generation. Nvidia has released four GPUs in the past several weeks, compared to only two in the previous generation. RTX 50-series GPUs remain out of stock at most major retailers.

Arguably the most reliable GPU info leaker of them all, Kopite7kimi, has dropped a load of specs for Nvidia's upcoming RTX 5050, RTX 5060 and RTX 5060 Ti GPUs. And the RTX 5060 actually looks like it might be half decent. Well, it could be depending on how much it will cost and if you can actually buy one at a non-inflated price.

In advance of next week's GTC and GDC trade shows, Nvidia discussed Blackwell availability, where it specifically stated that it has shipped twice as many Blackwell GPUs in the first five weeks as it did Ada GPUs for the first five weeks in 2022 — but that's effectively comparing only the RTX 4090 against four RTX 50-series GPUs launched this year.
