The Kentucky Wildcats dominated Vanderbilt 91-77, with sophomores Collin Chandler and Otega Oweh combining for 46 points, and now have five wins against AP Top 25 ranked opponents this season.
On senior day, Teonni Key injected a much needed third scoring presence in the final quarter. Back-to-back buckets helped the Wildcats claw back to just a one possession deficit at 56-53 with 3:39 left in regulation. Strack remained dominant throughout the game as well, finishing with a game-high 24 points and nine rebounds.
Alabama football is set to hire former Kentucky executive recruiting director Danielle Braswell as its newest director of recruiting operations. Braswell will be taking the role left vacant by Carrigan Johnson when she announced her departure earlier this month.
Oweh’s scoring has also placed him in elite company. He and former national player of the year Oscar Tshiebwe are now the only transfers in Kentucky history to record 500+ points in multiple seasons, according to Chris Fisher, which is a testament to both productivity and consistency.
Tyler Tanner led the Commodores (22-9, 9-7) with 19 points, followed by Jalen Washington with 16. Tyler Nickel had 13, AK Okereke scored 12 and Duke Miles had 11.
