The arctic front has already arrived in parts of the Lone Star State, and it is about to bring a stretch of cold and windy days to Houston. Are you ready? On Saturday, any morning clouds in Southeast Texas will give way to sunshine by the afternoon and peak daytime temperatures will hold steady in the mid-50s to lower 60s.

The Houston region is expecting to see temperatures dip below freezing on Sunday. And as of Friday, the forecast from the National Weather Service called for snow on Monday night and Tuesday morning.

Houston will be mostly cloudy with mild temperatures around 55°F. A cold front will bring cooler weather for the weekend, with temperatures dropping to the 30s for the Houston Marathon. An Arctic blast is expected next week,
