Glacier National Park says it will test a “timed entry” system for popular areas of the park. Those who get vehicle reservations will be assigned a time block that they can enter but can stay in the park as long as they like.

New in 2025, the park will be piloting timed entry reservations for the west side of Going-to-the-Sun Road and the North Fork. Visitors will enter the park according to the time block they have reserved and can remain in the park for as long as they like on the day of their reservation.

Glacier National Park has announced that it will be implementing a new “timed-entry” system for reservations for vehicles to enter the west side of Going-to-the-Sun Road and the North Fork in 2025.

Next year, Glacier National Park visitors who go through the west entrance of Going-to-the-Sun Road and the North Fork will be required to enter during a designated time block during ticketed entry.

Glacier National Park will again implement a vehicle reservation system in 2025, from June 13 to Sept. 28, for the west side of Going-to-the-Sun Road and the North Fork. The park is also introducing a timed entry program at the two locations,
