QB DJ Lagway is managing shoulder and lower body ailments lingering from last season, limiting his spring participation.

Gators coach Billy Napier, set to oversee his first team practice of the spring Thursday afternoon, announced earlier in the day his staff will take a cautious approach with sophomore quarterback DJ Lagway as he tends to shoulder and lower-body issues that afflicted him down the stretch last fall.

Napier also said Lagway was dealing with a lower-body injury, but the coach provided few details other than saying the quarterback didn't have any offseason surgery. Lagway missed a game last November while recovering from a strained left hamstring he suffered against Georgia.
