Veterans with disabilities are exempt from VA home loan funding fees only if a disability rating is issued before loan closing.

Republican Del. James Moylan joined Democrat Rep. Mike Levin of California in reintroducing a bill that would help disabled veterans get reimbursed for home loan fees.

From Rep. Mike Levin, the bill is meant to help veterans who are still awaiting their disability rating or service members still in the transition process.

The Sharri Briley and Eric Edmundson Veterans Benefits Expansion Act was introduced by Representative Tom Barrett in November.
