Rebirth poised to stomp back into theaters, the spotlight is once again on cinema's favorite prehistoric predators. While the Jurassic franchise continues to dominate popular imagination, it's hardly the only game in town when it comes to dino-driven storytelling.

With a terrific cast — both human and dinosaur — and worthy special effects, “Jurassic World Rebirth” is an improbable triumph.

Director Gareth Edwards recruits Scarlett Johansson, Jonathan Bailey and Mahershala Ali for his dinosaur tale, which shamelessly borrows from Steven Spielberg’s 1993 hit.
