HAVANA (Reuters) -Cuba reconnected its national electrical grid and restored power to the majority of the capital Havana by late on Sunday, energy officials said, nearly two days after an island-wide outage knocked out power to 10 million people.
Police patrolled the empty streets a day after some small protests took place in neighborhoods of Havana, as blackouts continued. Cuba's president accused the protesters of being "drunk" and said such acts would be dealt with revolutionary justice.
