The Martin family - parents Ken and Barbara and their three daughters, Barbara, 14; Virginia, 13; and Sue, 11 - vanished without a trace in 1958 after going on a day trip to the mountains

After two days of dredging, a crane has pulled a Ford station wagon from the Columbia River that officials believe belonged to an Oregon family who disappeared while on a trip 66 years ago.

A year later, two of the girls were found in the Columbia River, dead from drowning, near Bonneville Dam. The rest of the family — and the car — remained missing. Until, perhaps, now.
