But in Bucky Brooks’ first NFL.com mock of the season, he had Colorado’s Shedeur Sanders going as the first overall pick to the Titans, with Ward going No. 3 to the New York Giants, who are also desperate for a quarterback.

Both Ward and Sanders enjoyed strong 2024 campaigns. Ward led all FBS-I passes with 39 touchdowns in his first season with the Miami Hurricanes, while Sanders led all FBS-I passers with a mind-boggling completion percentage of 74% in his second season as the Colorado Buffaloes starting quarterback.
